Taylor & Jayden Harris & Logan Hatton
Our beautiful Grandkids once again!!! Taylor is now 7 years old, Jayden 4 1/2, and Logan 2 months, when this picture was taken. Just being a typical Grandma and showing off the grandkids every chance I get. Aren't they cute??
Just an update on us.
Just in case people don't know what we are up to these days. Bryant is now working for Harbor Freight & Tools. He is working in Salem and has about a 30 minute drive. He is happy with his choice and loves having the balance of work and home life. I am working for Kohl's, where I have been for almost a year now. I enjoy the position I have, cash office is something I have always liked. I am the in store auditor and like the duties that involves. We have had Taylor and Jayden up for the annual visit to Granddad and Grandma's each summer. We had fun playing while they were here and I posted pictures from that time already. Dustin and Candi are purchasing a new home in Bakersfield and will be moving in soon. They have some remodeling to do before moving in but they are really looking forward to making the house their home. Jimmy and Natalie are still here with us and we love it. Jimmy is working as a painter for a paint contractor and is busy now that the weather is nice. He is also starting school soon going to Linn Benton here in Albany. Natalie is still working as a bookkeeper for a property management company in Turner. Tyler and Crystal are enjoying every minute of being new parents! Tyler still is with Target at the distribution center here in Albany. Crystal has been able to stay home more with Logan and is enjoying her part time position with the church as the critter land coordinator.
That should get everyone up to date on all our family happenings. We aren't doing much traveling these days but we are getting out to explore our area, finding new sights to enjoy as often as we can. We love to hear from everyone. So please leave us comments on postings or pictures when you can.
Thank you,
Kathy

Wild Life Safari, Winston, Oregon
Yesterday Bryant and I went down to Winston, Oregon, which is about a two hour drive south from home. We drove through the wild life safari and had fun watching the animals. We went to the visitor center and browsed through the exhibits and shops. Then we went back into the car and drove through on a second loop through the park. We actually were able to see animals on the second loop that we did not see on the first. Some were now gone to find shade somewhere unseen, and others were closer and eating. I was glad that Bryant suggested going through again. My favorite animals are still the same, the zebras and the giraffes!! I can sit and watch them for hours. This is an activity I am sure our Grandkids would enjoy, Taylor and Jayden soon and Logan will probably need to wait awhile before he can enjoy this one.
Chinese Gardens, Portland, Oregon
Last week Bryant and I spent the afternoon at the Chinese Gardens in Portland, Oregon. This was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. We walked around the gardens enjoying the sights. There were many trees and plants to look at and enjoy. Some of which we recognized and some of which we still don't know what they were. We went to the tea room where we sat overlooking the gardens from upstairs. We had some very refreshing tea and some type of coconut pastries and dried mango's. If you are in Portland area this is a short enjoyable stop.
